Coffee County
Coffee County was formed on January 8, 1836 from parts of Franklin, Bedford, and Warren Counties. Coffee County was named after General John Coffee, a close friend of Andrew Jackson. Gen. Coffee was also a hero of the War of 1812 and the Creek (Indian War). Coffee County, Tennessee is located in the south central portion of the State of Tennessee.
